You have done a really nice job with these shots despite the obviously somewhat suboptimal light.
Tracy: Thanks Martin, the lighting was very flat for most of the trip. Only the last day did we see the sun
I am totally digging this series. Two things I love are here: bridge and reflection.
Tracy: I am so pleased you like the series Maria. Your comments are very much appreciated
This is a stunning picture, I love the PP the colors are so great, the reflection is fabulous, you can be very proud to your self, yes I know p&p
Tracy: Astird you are a darling thank you for your support as usual, your words mean alot to me
Yes it means lack of light or flat,subdued... My mum is in Amsterdam, she returns on Saturday. I wish I was with her
It is a beautiful image, with so much going for it, Tracy.
Funny thing is I like the blemishes...the stain on the bridge...best of all.
Tracy: Thanks a million Ray for your valued comment
Great composition and especially including the reflection that forms circles with the bridge itself. I have a feeling that this pic would also look good in sepia or b&w.
Tracy: Thanks very much Louis, I will give it a go when I have the time
A historic crossing point with the river looking calm here, Tracy
Tracy: Cheers Chad
Agree with Martin. I always try a b&w conversion if the light is flat like this. Sometimes you can create a nice moody atmosphere with a bit of a twiddle
Tracy: I will have a twiddle Bill when I get the time. Thanks
Beautiful composition Tracy. I really like the atmosphere created by the lighting of this very day you shot it.
I also noticed that you have four "O" in the bridge's reflections!
Tracy: I also liked the "O" Richard, thank you so much
This is a wonderul shot Tracy: the reflection is really good
Tracy: Thanks very much Chris gald you approve
Classic bridge shot Tracy. Somehow the lack of bright sunshine seems to intensify the colours.
Ingrid
Tracy: Thanks very much Ingrid
Lovely arches lovely reflections ... therefor lovely. richard
Tracy: Lovely of you to comment Richard LOL
Tracy I love it the reflection and the colours are great I am not a fan of black and white but I think the reflection would look good, great shots keep the comming
Tracy: Vintage you are so kind, thank you for your lovely comment, it means alot
This is really beautiful in the subdued way it is presented.
Tracy: Mary thank you so much. I would have loved some sun but hey make the most of whats available. Your to kind
Oh Tracy - this is so PERFECT! The arched bridge, with the reflection, makes perfect circles! What an excellent eye for special scenes you have!
Tracy: Marite your making me blush
superb view Tracy and a great capture of it
Tracy: I will have to go back and take some night shots. Astrid could be my teacher.
Thanks Tim.
What a reflection, but all those rivers in cities are dirty.
Tracy: Thanks Jeroen, the rivers are normally murky and dirty you are right.
Oh! I really like this one, especially the neat reflection. Well done.
Tracy: So pleased you do Alexandra, the reflection is one of my favorites. Thanks for your valued comment much appreciated
wauw! Very nice photo! Great reflection and nice buildings!
Tracy: Thanks Robbie I like the reflection in this shot too. It would have been better if the weather was a bit brighter
THIS is why I love this place so much, Tracy! What a fabulous rendition of the bridge and its reflection. Those statues are smiling big-time at you!
Tracy: I'm sure they are Ginnie and also having a conversation between them selves saying "that's another picture for shutterchance, keep smiling"!!!!
Hope you are having a lovely break and taking lots of pictures. Love to you both
I love this shot. Even for a grey day you have got the reflections right. I guess you had a splendid time in Italy, your photos almost make we want to visit.
Tracy: You should it's a great place.
