Did you throw "three coins in the fountain"? Rome feels so magical from all your snaps.
Tracy: To me this is truely magical, I returned to this fountain every day on my tour around this wonderful city. Yes I tossed my coin
Is this the famous "3 coins in a" fountain, Tracy?
Tracy: Yes Ray this is the famous fountain.
Brollies....paraplues....This is the most unusual angle I have ever seen of that fountain and that is why I like it, how much did you throw in??
Love the colour of the water, great job, I have to ask you again, how are Philips shoulders....I wonder where you stood this time..
Tracy: Not my life's savings thats for sure!!
Ha the road slopes down on this side of the fountain, no need for the shoulders this time. Anyway if I sat on Philips shoulders my feet would still drag on the floor!!! Thanks Musketeer
It's funny, Tracy, but every time I have seen this fountain I have been on the opposite end from your vantage point (I just looked to see if I could find me). So I have never seen it from this side. WooHoo! You go, Girl.
And I have a feeling one can NEVER get in a shot without hundreds of people milling around. Truly it is one of Rome's most famous landmarks!
Tracy: This has to be in the top three Ginnie, if not NO1 for me, I just love it. I returned everyday to this fountain it was like I was been drawn to it by some magical force
I could not see your coat Ginnie sorry I must have missed you!!... Thanks Musketeer
The best shot would be if you sink low into the water (you are already wet from the rain) and shoot upwards from near to surface level. I will fight of the police at your back while you are busy - just remember to send me a ticket
I like the perspective that you created here - using the crowd in the composition, instead of trying to get them out of the picture.
Tracy: I would have gladly done that for you Louis if I had known you wanted an up close and personnel shot.
It would be a pleasure to have you along on the next trip for sure. Thanks
Ah, it's been years since I was there and threw in my coins and made my wish. It's still as crowded as ever
Tracy: It's rent a crowd Scarlet, I don't think they ever move away...
Thanks
wow! Nice colors and great contrast, I like it.
Tracy: Thanks so much Arash for your comment and dropping in.
That is a wonderfull fountain!
Are those people all tourists? And are they there for the fountain?
Tracy: Robbie this fountain is surrounded by people day and night, I never went by when there was no one there
Thanks
Do you think it is painted to get that blue, tracy?
Tracy: I think it may have been Chad as I have only ever seen the sea that blue before.
Hope you threw your coins in and wished,I did and returned Great photo
Tracy: Yes I did Vintage and hopefully my wish will come true
Thanks
Beautiful composition Tracy. Y really like the colour of the water!
Tracy: It's my favorite colour Richard, the same colour as my eyes
Thanks
I never realised it was so big - it looks more like a swimming pool! The crowds of people give it scale.
Ingrid
Tracy: It is magnificant Ingrid, I was gobsmacked the first time I saw it
Thanks
Goodness, are these all tourists? That's the most interesting thing to me; that you got the romantic fountain and the crowd.
Tracy: Mary you will be walking around the streets and then they open out into a square and there are hundreds of tourists looking at the attraction in that square. It's amazing
Thanks
Tracy - I really like the way you captured the flowing water in this one! Love the photo!!
Tracy: Thanks very much Martie I appreciate your kind words, and pleased you like the flowing water
Doesn't look the same in colour and without Anita Ekberg cavorting about (La Dolce Vita) but guess I will just have to use my imagination ;o)
Tracy: Your showing your age Mike!!
Imagination is what men use alot so I have been told Thanks
This photo does bring back memories of a schooldays trip to Rome. That trip predated mass-tourism so imagine the crowd to be about 50 uniformed convent schoolgirls! And yes, we were allowed to throw a coin or two into the water. Thanks for this photo Tracy.
Tracy: So pleased to have brought back memories for you Sheila. Wow just imagine being in charge of 50 school children
Thanks
so your wishes came true eh Tracy Stoke lol, lovely composition OF A FABULOUS SCENE
Tracy: LOL Tim that was one of many but I will have to wait and see if my other wishes come true later in the year
Thanks for your fun comment as usual
Someone spent a lot of time making this fountain look natural. I am impressed with the level of success they achieved!
I shall resist singing the song! Great brolly shot!
I hope your wish will come true
