Nice one! Safe journey.
Tracy: Thank you Martie.
Have a good trip!
Tracy: Thank you so much.
YAAAAAY. You're finally off to Rome! You are gonna love it, Tracy. Do NOT NOT NOT forget your camera. And if you go into St. Peter's Basilica, go up high enough to take a picture of the mailbox there. You'll love it. Have a great trip.
Tracy: You make me smile Musketeer...
Philip may be, but not the camera Ha Ha!!! See you soon mijn vriend
I would love to find a hole in the wall that produced money. That post box is very red! Have a great trip.
Tracy: Cheers Helen
Oh, that's such a nice red paint. Have a wonderful journey!
Tracy: Thank you very much.
Very nice, but I have my very own VR now.
Have a fantastic trip. The trouble with Rome is there are too too many photos to take, if thats possible.
Tracy: Taking two camera
Glad you liked the VR postbox. It's funny but am on the look out all the time now!! Thanks for the kind comment
Mt post box sometimes asks for money.
Got interrupted and pressed send by mistake. Have a great trip, Tracy. Looking forward to photos of you and the pope like the ones of you, Astrid and Ginnie. A cardinal can do the honours for you.
Tracy: I will do my best Mary...!!
Thanks for your comment
The mailman works quite late in the day over in your village. Very old time, with the hole in the wall that does not empty your account to produce money.
Great picture. When you are over in Rome say hi to Wally from me
Tracy: Ok Louis will do!!!
Thanks for your comment.
Ah the romance of the post box, tracy. These things meant so much to so many people. They were once the only means of communication with loved ones far away. They were the starting point for journeys bringing news, sometimes good, sometimes bad. The red is a powerful colour which seams to add to their symbolic meaning. I could not think of them in the same iconic way if they were yellow or green.
Tracy: I agree Chad, it's the same as the old red phone box's.
Thanks for your comment
We have one of these in our village - not the most practical of things as you can only get a standard size letter in it! See my post of 24th July 2007 http://anniedog.shutterchance.com/photoblog/too_big_/. Give my regards to the pope!
Ingrid
Tracy: Was it you who left the letter by your mail box??
It is a tiny looking box. The pity with ours is some one broke the lip on it. They fetch a few pounds in good condition. Thanks for your comment
Have a good trip.
Tracy: Thank you Bill I will do my best
Very nice capture Ingrid.
Have a nice and safe trip!
Tracy: Will do Richard thanks
So...what damn good is it, then, in this age of eMail and ATM! Might as well pull it out of the wall and use it as a BBQ hotplate.
So "G'day from Ray" to the old guy in the dress from me if you get a chance.
Tracy: I will pass on your wishes Ray!!!
Thet fetch mega bucks in good condition.. Thanks.
Have a good trip!
Tracy: Cheers Paul

How many 'hail Marys' are you expecting Tracy... Have you tried pasta ... I gather you can find it in the restaurants if you hunt around. richard
Tracy: I like Italian food very much thanks Richard!!!
As for the hail mary's I think I might be in there for the duration of the trip LOL
Iconic stuff - the postbox not the Pope
Tracy: I took a shot of a VR postbox yesterday for Aussie, when I was out on my walk.
